So I have too many blogs to keep track of…this being one of them, but I will update as much as possible. As far as my role is with Artison, im a fashion journalist. I would not consider myself a fashion follower or even a hard core fashionista, I just like to look at the pretty things. I’ll be as “fashiony” as possible though, may even put you on to some things. Let’s start off with a little Jeremy Scott. If you don’t know who Mr. Scott is, I suggest you google him now and digest the most information you can. Scott’s use of inspiration to develop looks is amazing. His inspiration is not an afterthought, but is at the forefront of his collections. If Jeremy Scott is thinking about creating a line about food, expect for food to be a major part of the clothing. He uses shape as well as exact colors and even replicas of his inspiration as clothing designs. My favorite Jeremy Scott collection, entitled “Food Fight” includes a pizza patterned robe, doughnut bracelets, a matching chocolate eclair earring and necklace set, and a few shirts reminsant of our favorite McDonalds character; Hamburglar! He uses candies, fast food, and desert to create a full course meal of five star fashion. His latest collection, “Let Them Eat Gas” is a play on Marie Antwonette’s famous quote, “Let then eat cake”. The models were adorned in period hairstyles and the designs included French style prints, similar to that of a china plate.
